  1. Before entering the examination hall.
  2. Public speaking.
  3. Stressful situation.
  4. Any known disease condition or diagnostic procedure.
  5. Post traumatic stage.

Among all these, public speaking is most common. This is called the general anxiety, and this is not the severe one with mild symptoms. By meditation it can be treated smoothly.

Signs of anxiety:

  1. Increased heart/ pulse rate (tachycardia).
  2. Increased/ rapid breathing (hyperventilation).
  3. Sweating.
  4. Restlessness.
  5. Feeling of tense.
  6. Feeling of nervousness.
  7. Slight shaking.
  8. Loose motion.
  9. Feeling tired.

How to overcome from anxiety:

  1. Deep breathing exercise.
  2. Repeated countdown in recent situation.
  3. Try to speak.
  4. Continue with positive attitude.
  5. Accept yourself that no one is just perfect.
  6. Be gentle and handle with a smile.

MOOD DISORDER

Mood swing is the simplest form of mood disorders. In mood disorders one’s general mental state is disturbed and the ability to doing anything is disoriented. They may be in excited mood or may be sad without any external stimuli. They are actually in fluctuating stage. This mental health condition is mostly common in teenagers and late 20.

Causes of mood disorders:

  2. Biological i.e. enlarged brain cells, imbalanced brain chemical (exact cause is unknown).

When to visit your physician:

Normal mood swing once in a month is common in case of female. But in case of male it is quite uncommon. When the shift of mood swing increases i.e. high and low rapidly, then you should immediately contact your physician.

ANGER

Anger is natural, some of them are necessary for survival in today’s world.

Anger is the most common mental health condition that we all experienced in our entire life. It is not a disease but is an emotion. As per oxford dictionary, anger is the strong feeling that you have when something has happened or somebody has done something that you do not like.

Basically anger is an emotion that characterized by friction towards something wrong or somebody has done. Anger can be a good thing with positive attitude for a positive outcome.

But excessive anger can cause problems, and be considered as a mental health condition.

Causes of anger:

  3. Threatened.
  4. Attacked.
  5. Powerlessness.

Insomnia is a sleeping disorder. This is not an actual disease condition but is a common symptom of every psychotic disorder. This is a persistent condition of falling and staying asleep. This condition is mainly related to poor sleeping habits.

Insomnia or sleeplessness is a mental health condition that usually self diagnosable. Symptoms may include difficulty in falling asleep, headache, redness of eyes, difficulty in decision making etc.

Common causes of insomnia:

  1. Untreated stress.
  2. Irregular sleeping habit.
  3. Poor sleeping pattern.
  4. Anxiety.
  5. Depression.
  6. Severe pain.
  7. Physical illness.
  8. Medications.
  9. Neurological problems.
  10. Specific sleep disorders.

Symptoms of insomnia:

  1. Early waking up.
  2. Not falling asleep at night.
  3. Drowsiness in day time (sleepiness).
  4. Repeatedly wakes up during night.

  6. Stay active in your daily life.
  7. Never be with your pain, go for diagnostic as well as symptomatic treatments.

  9. Avoid large dinner and any beverages at bed time.
  10. Try to sleep in dim light with soft music.
